Saturday's OHL Priority Selection saw 3 current CJHL players selected after being bypassed in their first draft year. Orleans Dylan Anderson was selected by the Ottawa 67's, London selected Kemptville's Eddie Slade and Sudbury chose Nepeans' Wyatt Galley.
It was a banner day for the ODMHA and the Ontario East AAA League as Erik Gudbranson and Ryan Spooner were chosen 4th and 5th overall respectively by the Kingston Frontenacs and Peterborough Petes. Three other former ODMHA players who moved to the GTHL were selected in the top 28 selections.
In total, 20 ODMHA and 3 CJHL players were selected. The CJHL continues to provide opportunity for players wishing to advance to higher levels and congratulates those players selected in the OHL draft.
The CJHL draft is June 7th in Smiths Falls and many of these players will be selected by local Junior A teams to continue their development towards advancing to higher levels of hockey.
